Day 50! We're halfway...

Happy Birthday to 'MK at Principia' Fan Kevin Hagenlocher! For those of you following, join the facebook page Mountain Khakis at Principia!

On March 22nd  I was in Hilton Head, South Carolina playing tennis for Principia College. I left my MK's at home for my mom to fix, so I dropped the ball so to speak on wearing them every day for 100 days... but, you'll find me in them after the 100 days ends, so all is well!

Hilton Head was beautiful and sunny, and left me wishing I had MK Teton Twills! Maybe next year?

The team swung by Outside Outdoor Outfitters in Hilton Head, and my buddy Brian picked up a pair of sweet MK Cottonwood Corduroy pants on sale in his size. Welcome to the MK family, Brian!

Day 43-45: Deer and Antlers

People who know me well know my fascination with Whitetail Deer. I never cared about deer or antlers until I moved to the Midwest, where my obsession with deer began. During the winter months, beginning in December and lasting until late March, male deer shed their antlers as testosterone levels drop and they become less territorial. The antlers' base just dissolves and they fall off. During this time of year I do a lot of trail running, and often find antlers while I'm running through ravines and across cut cornfields. Here's some photos of my finds this year so far:
A chewed-up antler from last year (rodents chew on the bone for the calcium)

Southern Illinois sure has a lot of deer!
I've found all of these while running, so I don't have pictures of them "as they lay"

Day 36: It's MARCH?!? Holy Cow!

Well, I'm into my last week of winter quarter before Spring break... it's hard to believe another 10 weeks of college has flown by! I've had my adventures (mostly in the Organic Chemistry lab) but I've managed to get outside: running, biking, looking for shed antlers, and exploring. My facebook album contains yesterday's adventures, but here's a few MK pics of my 10 mile hike.
